MSc thesis project proposal
High linearity OTA
OTAs are widely used in instrumentation amplifiers and ADCs. In many cases, to achieve high power efficiency, the OTA's input differential pair are biased in weak inversion. However, doing so will reduce the input signal range due to degraded linearity. Although techniques exist to improve such linearity for large input signals, they either require significant extra power consumption, or compromise PSRR, or have limited results.
In this project, you will propose innovative techniques to improve the OTA input differential pair's linearity without introducing significant drawbacks.
